Meet Dr. Michael Hancock!

Dr. Michael Hancock is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in chiropractic healthcare, medical billing, fraud investigation, and revenue cycle management. As the Senior Consultant and Fraud Investigator at Carolina Claim Consultants since 2011, Dr. Hancock has been instrumental in optimizing facility revenue cycles, preventing write-offs, managing denials, and coordinating authorizations for major procedures with payers like CMS and Workers’ Compensation.

Dr. Hancock earned his Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1994 and holds a bachelors in Exercise Science from the University of Toledo. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), accredited by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and is board-certified as a Certified Independent Chiropractic Examiner (CICE) through the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners.

His career also includes serving as Manager of Program Integrity at Garretson Resolution Group where he oversaw the medical fraud department for the BP oil spill, and as Chief Operating Officer at Atlas Chiropractic, where he gained valuable hands-on experience managing clinic operations.
